The char_length function in PostgreSQL returns the length of the specified string.
Syntax of char_length function in PostgreSQL
char_length( string )
Parameters and function arguments
- string – The string for which the length is returned.
The char_length function can be used in future versions of PostgreSQL
PostgreSQL 11, PostgreSQL 10, PostgreSQL 9.6, PostgreSQL 9.5, PostgreSQL 9.4, PostgreSQL 9.3, PostgreSQL 9.2, PostgreSQL 9.1, PostgreSQL 9.0, PostgreSQL 8.4.
