CLOSE operator – The final step in working with cursors is closing the cursor after you have finished using it.
Operator CLOSE syntax
CLOSE cursor name;
Options and arguments of the operator
- cursor name – The name of the cursor you want to close.
For example, you could close a cursor named c1 with the following command:
CLOSE c1;
Next is a function that shows you how to use the Oracle FETCH operator:

( name_in IN varchar2 )
RETURN number

cnumber number;
CURSOR c1

SELECT course_number
FROM courses_tbl
