Oracle/PLSQL function UID returns an integer number identifying the current database user.

UID
The UID function has no parameters or arguments.
The UID service returns a numerical value.
UID function in the following versions of Oracle/PLSQL
Oracle 12c, Oracle 11g, Oracle 10g, Oracle 9i, Oracle 8i

Let’s consider an example of the Oracle UID function and learn how to use the UID function in Oracle/PLSQL.
SELECT UID
FROM DUAL;
-Result: 55
In the above example, 55 current ORACLE database users have been defined.
